Hello! I am Lee Mundy, currently a freelance graphic designer, photographer and artist based in Battersea, London. I specialise in identity, print & digital design, photography and abstract art.

Simplicity, clarity, minimalism and attention to detail are part of my philosophy. Research and experimentation is integral to my process. I strive to find stories to create meaningful effective solutions, whether that be for logo design or portrait photography.

My qualifications include: B.A (Hons) Graphic and Media Design: Information Design, studied at London College of Communication (2009–2010) & Foundation Degree Design for Graphic Communication, also at London College of Communication (2006–2008). I am self taught at photography and do my own photo editing and retouching. During lockdown, I started creating abstract paper collages.

Artistic statement.

For his abstract paper cut-outs, he lets his emotions and feelings guide him as he cuts through paper left over from previous projects with scissors, to form shapes of different sizes. He pastes them down after carefully arranging the shapes, playing with rhythm, contrast of shape, colour, scale and space to create pleasing compositions. He also uses different mediums in his search for pure abstraction.

He mentions, “creating abstract art has allowed me to look after my mental health — I can escape reality, be free and express myself visually — my final artworks are spiritual journeys. Not only do I create art for my well-being, I aim to find pure abstraction.“
